We respect your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through huckabeepark.com (the “Site”), how we use it, how it’s shared, and the choices you have. By using the Site you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
When you reserve a field, you provide:
- Team name, team age group, and sport (baseball or softball)
- Head coach’s first and last name
- Email address
- Phone number (optional)
- The date, time, field, length, lighting, and purpose of your booking
- The name you type to sign the liability waiver, and the date you sign it
We do not collect or store credit or debit card numbers on this Site. Cash and check payments are handled in person. If online card payments are added later, they are processed by a third-party payment processor (such as Stripe) — your card details go directly to that processor and we never see or store them.
Automatically, like most websites, our hosting and content-delivery provider (Cloudflare) may log technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited, for security and reliability. Some pages load web fonts (Google Fonts) and map imagery (Mapbox); those providers may receive your IP address to deliver those resources.
How we use your information
- To take, confirm, and manage your reservation
- To contact you about your booking (confirmations, changes, weather, etc.)
- To keep an accurate field schedule that the public can view — showing only your team name, age, and sport with the time, never your email or phone
- To maintain a record of signed waivers
- To send occasional Huckabee Park news or updates (you can opt out anytime — see “Your choices & rights”)
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site, and to comply with law
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
How your information is shared
We share information only:
- With service providers that help us run the booking system — our database host (Supabase) and website host (Cloudflare), and a payment processor (Stripe) if/when online payments are enabled — who are required to protect it and use it only to provide their services to us
- With authorized Huckabee Park staff who manage reservations
- When required by law, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of the park, our patrons, or others
What others can see
The public availability calendar shows only that a field is booked, along with the team name, age, and sport and the time — it never displays your email, phone number, or coach contact details. Those are visible only to authorized park staff.
Cookies & local storage
This Site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The booking page uses a small amount of browser local storage only for functionality (for example, keeping a staff member signed in). Third-party resources (Google Fonts, Mapbox) may set their own cookies as described in their policies.
Data retention
We keep booking and waiver records for as long as needed to manage rentals, maintain our records, and meet legal or insurance requirements, after which we delete or anonymize them. You may request earlier deletion (see below).
Your choices & rights
You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and opt out of non-essential or promotional emails at any time (via the unsubscribe link in those emails or by emailing us). To make a request, email [email protected]. We’ll respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your local privacy laws, and we honor applicable requests.
Children’s privacy
Field reservations are made by adults (coaches, parents, or team managers who are 18 or older). The Site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. While teams may include minors, we collect information about the adult who books and about the team — not personal details of individual child players. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, including restricting database access so the public cannot read contact details. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Effective date” above reflects the latest version, and significant changes will be posted on this page.
